Shoes are one of the staples to an outfit. Most women like to be up to date on the current fashions and most fashion is to wear high heeled shoes.

They give the appearance of longer, slimmer legs as well as enhance other features.

They really are just a staple of fashion. I wear heels and they are not hooker shoes, they actually cost a great deal of money and they look great.

I am not an idiot and don't step out in shoes I can't walk in or shoes that are 5" and have me about to topple over.

Each to their own but for me, I like wearing nice clothes, nice shoes and putting together outfits, having my hair ,nails etc done. It;s not about looking good for others but looking good for me and I like that. I like to look my best at all times and put my best foot forward.

I am not the type of person to go to the grocery store in my pj bottoms, I see a lot of people doing that but that is just not for me.

It's not that I spend 2 hours on my hair because I don't, it's just about taking time to make sure I look my best and trating my hair, skin etc properly.

I can do all that, I just don't do it in heels!!
But I've also been known to run to the store in my PJ bottoms!!

Cuz I don't give a flying fig about what is in fashion or who sees me in my PJ bottoms!!
Luckily, not all men like a woman that has to be all fussed up to go anywhere....

To me fussed up is being in a cocktail dress, dress suit, my hair professional done etc. I guess it all really depends on what our perception of fussed up is.

On a normal day, I wear jeans, a simple dress or skirt, heels, and a nice top with matching jewelry combined with a few good pieces of jewelery.

I wear make up everyday because I like it and my hair takes me all of 5 minutes to do and that because I straighten my bangs.

I don't even comb my hair because I can't fit a comb through it.,

When I am fussed up it's for formal occasions like a wedding and things like that. That's when I"ll get my hair properly done, do more make up and really put on fancy clothes.

Most girls I know and most girls that I see out, are wearing stuff like me and look like me as in hair, clothes make up etc so I don't think I go to extremes or really am dressed up.

That would be the difference between "City" life......and "Country" life I guess!!
I haven't had a drop of makeup on, other than mascara, since May!! Don't need it with a tan!
I wear dresses damn near everyday.....they are just simple summer dresses w/ a pair of cute sandles.......but this is "My Stlye". Been that way since I was a little girl climbing trees in my Maxi dress and chuckaboots!!

But I have not one once of qualm about going to town without makeup......my hair piled on my head and wearing a pair of PJ bottoms and a tank top!

All my Tshirts have the sleeves cut off and the neck cut out!
I wear Bibs........I wear ripped up jeans......and I mow in my bathing suit!!
I sit in my back yard in a little nightie and no panties!
Hell, I sat out and watched the Meteor Shower the other night naked!!
Country life rocks!

If I sat in my yard with no panties on, I'd be giving my neighbors quite a show. I live right in the city so the houses next door are really close to me. In fact, I share a driveways with the neighbor, it's sectioned off in the middle with a divider.

I prefer casual dresses/skirts because I have bad stomach problems and a lot of times jeans hurt me to wear.

I'd wear make up regardless but without any on, it's easy to see I'm sick. I'm home about 90% of the time so when I go out, I take time for hair, make up etc. I would anyways but it's something I do for me. At home I wear my pyjamas, have no make up on and don't do my hair. I like to change that when I go out.

My only/favorite heels:

I do not wear make up ever, I go to the barber shop once every year or so, I haven't worn a dress/skirt for about 20 years. I like t-shirts, and jeans or, capri's in the summer. I also have a few other tops and some sweats. I too have probably run to the store in my jammies; not often but I have.

I'm not being a smartass but the barber shops here only do hair for men.

I'm not calling anyone old but I think some differences have to do with age. I know teenagers, for example, tend to take longer to get ready, worry more about how they look and really focus on hair, make up etc to the point where it's extreme.

I think the older we get, on average, the less time we tend to put into things like hair and make up.

lol... I think it is just an individual thing. My Ex took far longer to get ready than I ever did!

Teenagers here used to live in their jammies, I think it was a major fashion trend at one time. It is also a money thing; there are so many other things I would much rather blow money on... besides over priced make-up and salons.

There was recently something in the news about sex discrimination; when a barber shop somewhere refused to cut a woman's hair. She wanted a mans style but, they still refused. I think she won her case
