I put about 3 1/2 scoops for 8 cups in my dad's machine, I grind my beans fresh at home when making coffee. |

whole bean is so much better! I buy the store brand mocha java beans generally.
I think I would put in about 4 - 5 big tablespoons of ground for a whole pot. |

Beans are more expensive generally (sold by $/100 grams) and they sell electric grinders for around $20. Most supermarkets have a big grinder in the section with their whole bean coffee... if anyone wanted to they could do just enough for a pot or so to see if they really liked it. |

Did you read the instruction book for the new coffee maker?
It should say to run water through it once or twice before making the first pot |
