Alright, I just remembered this. When I got my Intel Atom system, I wasn't a member here. So, here's the biggest thing ever to remember when buying shitty Atom motherboards made by Intel:

Intel thinks the Atom system is disposable -- the reason is that a fully functioning Atom system costs only about $120. So they are careless. The following tip addresses one of their careless acts:

Motherboard - Intel D945GCLF2

Problem - The heat sinks are very lightly attached to this board when you get it, they only have two weak clips on either corner. There are two heat sinks, the one with the fan is the north bridge, the one without is your Intel Atom CPU. If they are not seated all the way, you'll hear the north bridge fan throttle all the way up when you turn the computer on in a vain attempt to save the overheating CPU. The Atom CPU being very basic isn't smart enough to shut down and will just fry.

The Fix: There are two easy fixes:
The harder of the two is to remove both heat sinks and completely replace the heat sink grease with some Arctic Silver.

The easy fix is just grasp one of the heat sinks and gently twist it back and forth applying light pressure, then do the same to the other one (it doesn't matter what order).

That's it.

It's exactly the same thing but unlike the RROD, there is no coming back from it.
